The speed governor is an elevator safety component that triggers braking when the car exceeds its nominal speed (15%). If the elevator exceeds its nominal speed while the car is moving in the up or down direction, the overspeed regulator mechanically locks the pulley, sends a signal with electrical connection and brakes the elevator by triggering the brake block. Thanks to the cabin brake block, it brakes by holding onto the rails
